Lo strato esterno \u00e8 costituito da politene reticolato con radiazioni, mentre lo strato interno \u00e8 costituito da una parete interna adesiva appositamente progettata. Quando viene riscaldata, il thermosol interno si restringe verso la parete esterna e riempie lo spazio. Quando viene raffreddato, lo spessore delle doppie pareti \u00e8 molto uniforme e solido. \u00c8 ampiamente utilizzato per l'impermeabilit\u00e0 all'acqua e all'aria dei cablaggi delle apparecchiature elettroniche, per la sigillatura delle diramazioni dei cablaggi, per la protezione dalla ruggine dei fili metallici e per la riparazione di fili e cavi. Al momento del riscaldamento, il thermosol interno si restringe per riempire eventuali spazi vuoti, garantendo uno spessore uniforme e solido a doppia parete al momento del raffreddamento.
